American pop star Taylor Swift has shared new details about her engagement to NFL player Travis Kelce, revealing the thoughtful effort that went into her stunning ring.

Speaking on the U.K. radio show Heart Breakfast on Friday, October 3, the 35-year-old singer opened up about Kelce’s collaboration with jeweler Kindred Lubeck, known for her hand-engraved gold designs.

Swift recalled that she had shown Kelce a video of Lubeck’s work over a year ago, not realizing he had taken note. “When I saw the ring, I gasped. I was like, ‘I know who made this!’ It made me realize how much he listens to me,” she said, adding, “I didn’t know what I would want, but he did somehow — and that’s kind of a flex.”

The couple announced their engagement on August 26, sharing Instagram photos from Kelce’s floral-themed proposal with the caption: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

During the interview, Swift admitted she hasn’t started planning a bachelorette party, explaining: “Everyone is scattered across the world. You’d think I’d have obsessed over weddings, but I never thought about it until I met the person. This is the first time I’ve even considered a hen do.”

Kelce worked with Lubeck’s Artifex Fine Jewelry, known for luxury pieces priced from $33,600 and above, to design the vintage-inspired ring. The standout piece features a massive old mine brilliant-cut diamond, estimated to be between 7 and 10 carats, set in a bezel-style design.
