Zaazoo Zeh crooner, Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has been granted bail by the Isabo Magistrate Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, following his arraignment on multiple charges.

The controversial singer appeared before the court facing allegations of conspiracy, assault, obstruction of lawful duties, and conduct likely to cause public disorder. According to the prosecution, Portable and his associates allegedly attacked government officials, preventing them from carrying out their duties while being armed with dangerous weapons, including cutlasses and guns.

The singer pleaded not guilty to the charges alongside nine of his aides, who were also arraigned for similar offenses. The co-defendants—Nurudeen Warris (21), Adetola Alashe (25), Samuel Adeleke (28), Oluwaseun Ayenuwa (19), Oluwapelumi Adeosun (20), Gospel Kanu (20), Precious Ohiegebo (19), Ifeoluwa Babatunde (27), and Fatimo Muhammed (26)—were accused of conspiring with Portable to assault three town planning officers: Abidemi Onabanjo, Ramon Lateef, and Akinpelumi Oyero, while they were executing their official duties at Odogwu Bar, a property owned by the singer.

During the hearing, Portable’s legal counsel, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, appealed for bail, emphasizing that the singer had shown remorse and learned valuable lessons from the incident.

In her ruling, Magistrate O.L. Oke granted Portable bail set at ₦2 million, with one surety required in the same amount. The case has been adjourned until March 5 for trial.
